Hi, I’m Diana an independent watercolor mixed media artist based in Hiram, OH USA.
For me, art is more than something beautiful, it’s a feeling, a memory, it’s an experience, or a spark, and a reminder of how wildly beautiful life can be.
I began my journey into art as a way to share that joy in a way that’s accessible, meaningful and brings a touch of vibrancy and a little bit of magic, the joyful kind we all need a little more of.
Each piece is hand crafted with care in my home studio, using a mixed media process that blends watercolor, gouache, acrylic ink, soft pastels, acrylic paint, pen, luminance pencils, and geli-plate, to name just a few. My journey into mixed media began in 2021, during a time when I needed a creative outlet to balance the joys of motherhood. Watercolor has become my sanctuary, a medium that allowed me to embrace both creativity and the beautiful chaos of daily life.
Inspiration finds me everywhere, through nature, color, architecture, photography, travel, and art, but the deepest sparks come from the beauty of real life and the connections people share that thrive around them. I spent over 20 years working as a professional photographer and am also self-taught in graphic and web design, refining my eye for composition, storytelling, and design. These experiences have shaped the way I approach my art today, blending technical skill with intuitive creativity.
I grew up in Australia, surrounded by warm summers and weekends filled with drag racing and waterskiing. That passion for speed brought my family to the USA to compete in the NHRA Drag Racing circuit. My twin sister and I weren’t just spectators; we crewed for our parents' championship-winning team and even took the wheel ourselves, launching 260mph dragsters down the track, yeah, fast doesn’t begin to describe it. Racing led me to my husband, my partner in competition and in life. After years of adrenaline fueled adventures, we shifted gears to raise our two incredible children, settling into the quiet charm of a small country town east of Cleveland, Ohio. Think Amish buggies, maple syrup, and a slower pace. It’s a contrast that fuels my creative balance.
I’ve always believed that art has the power to uplift, to remind us of beauty, and to spark joy in simple moments. That’s what I hope my work brings, a sense of warmth, inspiration, and the little moments that make life meaningful.
